On my way to the Island Pt. 2

Destination: The Island
Date: 28th January 2008
Time: 1:30p.m.

We had arrived at the jetty. The next boat was scheduled to leave for the Island by 4.00p.m. This meant that i had about 21/2 hours to wait. Well, in retrospect,it wasn’t wasted at all. We (my colleagues and I) trooped to the canteen to have lunch. As we sat to eat, we discussed on different topics and i discovered something. The honest truth is that, “We are all different people”. That doesn’t sound like a profound statement..right? lol…If you take some time to think it through, you’ll be surprised at its depth.

My alarm woke me up, i hardly slept anyway..maybe cos i had a long day ahead. My much anticipated trip to the Island had filled me with so much excitement.I had been scheduled for the first flight out of Lagos. I didn’t waste time getting to the airport but the flight was delayed and we took off later than expected.

Life is all about questions and answers. Little wonder,almost every thought, word or deed is either asking a question OR answering one. I read a story once about a middle aged man that was walking down the street and was approached by a police officer. The following dialogue ensued;
