In the Beginning…

Wow!

What can i say? It really is a new day. I lay on my bed as i type this post, thinking if i really want to let loose here. You know…like..everything..about me…

Well…i thought about it…thinking..thinking..nah…let’s forget about the past..and focus on the future..lol..starting from today.

The past

It’s gone. There’s absolutely nothing i can do about it. With every passing moment, each second is filed into the archives of history, where nothing, absolutely nothing can be done to amend it. We can only relish the sweet memories and try to forget..(with no success)..the painful ones. What’s my recipe for the past?
I LEARN FROM IT. There’s nothing else to do about it. I obviously can’t change, so why waste time wishing I could. I basically just look at decisions i have made in the past, try to check if i could have made better decisions..and MOVE on. If there’s anything i hate, it’s being caught up in the past. It’s all gone. I have had to walk away from a lot of things, i guess this philosophy of mine has always been a determining factor in most of my decisions…Well, what do i think about most of the time?

The present

Let’s face it..what do you really have? You only have the present. The past is gone and the future is a post-dated cheque. I think about how to use the present to get the future i want. I know the philosophy sounds kind of twisted..(lol)..i guess it’s only for twisted minds…(lol)… So i constantly ask myself..”What am i doing today to get me to the future i have in mind?” Yeah..you are right, i lifted that from one motivational book i read (lol). With that thought in mind, i ask myself one fundamental question….” What is the future???”

The future

We (i’m sure you do too) all have fantasies. A future where we don’t have problems. No money problems, no women wahala..(lol), sitting on top of the world with a hundred-thousand-dollar bracelet, sipping on champagne with banks all scrambling around us because they know how much our transactions add to their bottom-line . Okay, maybe you are not as vain as that. You want to change the world, pursuing one humanitarian cause..e.g. save people from hunger, disease, poverty etc. My thought is “You don’t have tomorrow yet, all you have is today…so make the best of it”..

Why all this preamble about the past, present and the future?..Well it’s about what this blog is actually dedicated to. A man’s memory is bound to be a distortion of his past in accordance with his present interests, so i decided to keep a documented version of my life. Call it an autobiography if you like. I call it My memoirs. To have a better perspective of the whole story,please refer to my next post..” A new day“. It’s a glimpse of who i am and what led to the birth of this blog.

Funny enough, if you are reading this, then it’s a good thing because i thought i was going to be the only one reading it…(lol).. If it didn’t make so much sense to you, don’t worry..it’s my very FIRST post.
