X is for X-factor
Hmm!..The X factor…
As i began to type my post on X, i thought to myself…”What do i write on?“….X-treme, X-files, X-men..(lol)…and then i thought deeper…and POW! ..the X-factor was born…:P
Over the years, the letter “X” has been used to connote a mysterious character or item. even in mathematics, way back in primary school…most of the time, it was (2 + x= 7, find x).
What really is the X-factor?
It’s that intangible substance in you that makes you do the seemingly extra-ordinary..that makes you go the extra mile…beyond the usual. It is usually demonstrated in various ways, e.g a cause you are really passionate about, reacting to danger, etc
People have been said to walk through fire, jump from cliffs, cut their throats for their beliefs, question is “What do you believe in?” Funny enough, a good proportion of people don’t even have an inkling of what they believe in, they think they do… but in reality they don’t. Beliefs in terms of God, Destiny, Faith, Money, Success, Dreams etc, you name it. Ask some people, “What is your value system?“….. and the response you’ll get is either “Huh?!” or “As in?“…
The demonstration of your X-factor is essentially connected to the depth of your beliefs. Look at Nelson Mandela, he was incarcerated for nearly 30 years for anti-apartheid activities (not 3 years o!, 30 years!!!)…..something he believed in….now that’s X-factor. Check Muhammad Yunus, he has given out Micro-credit facilities to over 7.5 million women in Bangladesh, leading them out of poverty. He is a Prof. of economics, but said “What’s the use of teaching in the classrooms, when people are dying of poverty outside the lecture halls?“, he gave himself to something he believed in…. and just look at the impact..Now that’s the X-factor!
What’s your X-factor? Are you using it, or is it still in its latent form?
Go ahead and use it…..The WORLD is waiting!!!

X-factor!!!!
Does X-girlfriend count?Just kidding.
If utilizing your X-factor is all that matters,would you say an Osama bin Laden is utilizing his?
I guess the point I’m trying to make here is this.
In the pursuit of that X-factor,there should always be a careful balance of good vs evil(or risks versus benefits as we say in my profession).
I think the HUGE question is ‘How does your X-factor affect the human race?’
Aneez,sorry for the long post.I had to cut it short so it’s not as long as the original post.

@ Vera
Don’t thank me, i had a very swell time at your blog. I’ll visit it often.
@ Dare
Thanks for stopping by. X-girlfriend??? i don’t know o!
No need to apologize for the “long?” post, and nice ethical insight to the X-factor.
i think the HUGEST of the HUGEST of the HUGE
question is this:
“How does your X-factor affect the world around you?” It doesn’t have to be grand, it could just be a simple heroic (professional) act to save another person’s life, or giving someone education, food OR the even hope of a future.
Nice one bro! Thanks for the comment

@Adetayo
I think your x-factor is to blow grammar right?…hehehe
@Folaweezo Anifoweezy
Lovely write-up. The X-factor of a thing is good, and as dare rightly pointed out…Osama bin laden has an X-factor that is affecting the world negatively.
So what if all i can think of as my X-factor is Negative in nature..should i believe in it or Junk it?
