Z
Finally Z, the last letter of the English alphabets. pronounced zee or zed. It usually connotes the end, the finish line.So i ask myself, what have i learnt during this 26-Alphabets article writing? a lot, i must say…. but I’ll just state a few:
1.) it’s easier to start a project, but more difficult to complete it. Studies reveal that less than 20% of the world’s population are complete finishers of tasks that they set out to achieve.
2.) never break your word. you can never tell who’s making a lifelong impression about you at that moment. Something very funny happened, i stepped out of my office to get something to drink (and also stretch my legs a little), when i bumped into a colleague that was chatting with his friend. i simply stopped, exchanged pleasantries and was about to excuse myself when my colleague asked,
“Where are you going?”
“I’m off to get yogurt”
They chorused jocularly “buy for us oh!” and with a hearty laugh i said, “No wahala…”
true to my word, i bought the yogurt and as i handed them over, my colleague’s friend said, “Hmm… you are a man of your word”, while i was still trying to rack my brain thinking ” which word? no be just yogurt?”… a man (whom i was oblivious of) was standing close to them, smiled and said, ” I know him, he is a true gentleman” . That taught me something, “You never know who’s watching!”
3.) don’t ever under-estimate anyone! He/ she might just be your life-line tomorrow.
4.) Always make God your number 1 reference point. actually, this should have been the first learning point. There’s always this bold assurance that comes with a conviction that God is with you. Well, there have been some decisions that i made with questions running amok in my mind, but when i find that place and begin to ponder on scriptures like
” you shall hear a voice behind thee saying, “This is the way, walk in it, turn not to the right, nor to the left”
” For i have gone before you to make the crooked places straight…..”
” The steps of the just grow brighter and brighter, until perfect day….”
” He leads me by the still waters, he restores my soul…”
” For they that wait on the Lord, shall renew their strength, they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint…”
” I have the mind of Christ…”
wow! need i say more?
5.) Honour your father and your mother. this is a powerful concept that i learnt from the Bible. funny enough, it doesn’t say anything about judging them before honouring them. i don’t mean to be partial to the fathers, but when a mother prays for you…i mean when she blesses you…with her heart,.. and as she remembers the blood that she spilled, and the pain that she went through..and uses her emotions and spirit to bless you….from the depths of her heart and her soul…trust me…Something’s gotta give.
When was the last time you did something for your parents? sometimes they are monetary, oftentimes they are not. When was the last times, you thanked them for being your parents? Called them to tell them how lucky you are to have them? Have them call you to bless you, without you asking…
I’m sure you are probably wondering how writing articles on a blog taught me these lessons:D…LOL… i went through different experiences during these period and decided i was going to type them out in my diary… not just for myself…but for as many people that it may bless… that’s why you are reading this
For my friends who started from A – Z, i must say well done, cos you just showed that you are complete finishers….
So what am i writing about next? We’ll see about that….. Till then, it’s ciao!

This is truly beautiful. I love the way you write, simple but you pass your message across very strongly.
You’ve got talents here just keep up the good work.
It take’s commitment to start a matter and see the end thereof. Good work . Honestly Ive learnt a lot just by reading all not just the “ZED” very good for me I came when you finished this series but can’t wait for you to start the new edition or new season as some would pefer to say.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts.
